Mumbai Indian’s Education for All initiative
Reliance Foundation and Mumbai Indians support and operate Education for All (EFA) program, led by Nita Ambani. The initiative was launched in 2010. Under the program, the organization aims that every child should have access to good quality education. Mumbai Indians funds the program for the education and development of over 1 lakh underprivileged children. The team members actively support and campaign for the initiative.
As a part of EFA, Nita Ambani books the entire Wankhede Stadium every year and takes nearly 18,000 children from varied Maharashtra NGOs to witness a live Mumbai Indians match, thereby spreading the cause of education. This year, the underprivileged kids will watch the live match of Mumbai Indians against Gujarat Lions on 16th April.
Under EFA, Mumbai Indians has unveiled a new campaign named ‘Read A Story’ (RAS). The campaign encourages fans to add value to the lives of the children. It encourages people to read a story to the kids that may inspire and transform their lives. Through this initiative, Nita Ambani aims to shape the future generation with virtues.
